Meta Horizon Managed Services
As of February 20, 2026, Meta stopped selling HMS and discontinued its commercial Quest SKUs. The paid HMS subscription is gone. Every Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S you buy today is enrollable in HMS at no cost — and Channel XR can ship them ready to deploy, with ArborXR or ManageXR fleet management layered on top.
Get devices scoped and quoted Add fleet management (MDM) ›Effective February 20, 2026, Meta ended the paid HMS subscription and discontinued its enterprise-specific Quest hardware. The consumer Quest 3 and Quest 3S are now the only Meta headsets available, and both are fully eligible for HMS enrollment. There is no longer a separate enterprise SKU, no per-device license fee, and no paid HMS tier.
HMS is not being shut down. Meta has committed to support and bug fixes through January 4, 2030. New device enrollment continues to work. Individual Mode and Shared Mode both remain available. What ends is active feature development: HMS will not gain new capabilities before the 2030 deadline. Beyond that date, Meta has made no commitments.
HMS covers Meta-side enrollment and identity, but it will gain no new capabilities before 2030 and carries no commitments beyond. For kiosk mode, content distribution, remote visibility, and fleets that mix Quest with Pico, HTC, or other OEMs, ArborXR and ManageXR are the right tools — both have confirmed continuity with HMS, and both are available through Channel XR below.
A pilot fleet that previously required per-device HMS licensing now has that line item at zero. The enrollment, policy, and app distribution capability that HMS provides is unchanged. Organizations evaluating Meta Quest for training, simulation, or collaboration now face a shorter cost justification and a simpler procurement path: buy standard consumer hardware, enroll in HMS at no charge, and put the savings toward real fleet management.
HMS gets a headset onto your account. An MDM keeps a hundred of them locked to the right app, updated, monitored, and recoverable without touching each device. Channel XR deploys both leading platforms and will configure either before your hardware ships.
